Hi, my name is Felix! ⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣I’m a typical scent hound which means I love companionship but can be aloof as well. I’m loving and intelligent, but I can be stubborn when I’m not motivated enough to show off my tricks. I like to use my voice to tell you all about it or let you know I’ve found a scent, this is called baying. The neighbors may not appreciate my “singing voice”. I am too vocal so an apartment is not be the best setting for me and I can’t be left outside alone long, especially with nothing to do. I would love a home with a fenced in yard, though. I’m high energy which means I need a family that will give me the daily mental and physical exercise I need, doing nose work games would be a great activity to keep me mentally stimulated and harness my scent instincts. I do not like to share food with people or other pets so I will need a family who is understanding of my desire to be left alone while I eat and will feed me separately. I am also not a big fan of hugs, it’s scary to have someone wrap their arms around me, put their body over mine, and put their face by my face. Since I am a sensitive boy I am looking for a home with kids that are at least 12 years old. If you’re a hound lover, then I’m your perfect companion! Yes, that means that he is a GEM of a dog, he just needs some “polish” & the right “setting” to sparkle as his very best self!⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Nash is a sweet boy that just needs a chance to warm up! He is very nervous of new people at first, so you will need to take your time and go slow with him. Once he is comfortable with you he will be a great companion! He isn’t great with strangers so no apartments and a fence is required. Hi! My name is Connor. ⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣I’m one of the “Diamond Dogs” here at NHS. Yes, that means that I’m a GEM of a dog. I just need some “polish” & the right “setting” to sparkle as my very best self⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣People describe me as affectionate. I’m cuddly, lovable, like to give kisses and snuggle but I can get uncomfortable easily. I may be a bit nervous as I adapt to a new environment or new people, a process that may be easier in home that has moderate to low traffic. However once I warm up and am comfortable, you better watch out because I’ll be ready to party! I love to be busy, both physically and mentally. I’ll enjoy seeing and doing things with my new family, and prefer an active household. Energetic dogs like me need a family that can provide adequate mental stimulation and exercise, such as running, hiking, kongs, learning tricks or playing fetch. And because of this, I will need a home with a fenced in yard, so no apartments for me! I LOVE to play with toys, especially tug, I also like to do this with my leash. I’m VERY treat motivated!! At this point in my life, I am looking for a home without children under 12. I need to meet all family members, including resident dogs, before going to my new forever home as I want to make sure I can fit right into the family.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣Connor will be shown by appointment only.
