Hi! My name is Ash. I’m one of the “Diamond Dogs” here at NHS. Yes, that means that I’m a GEM of a dog. I just need some “polish” & the right “setting” to sparkle as my very best self! I am a big and energetic goofball!! I love to be busy, both physically and mentally. I’ll enjoy seeing and doing things with my new family, and prefer an active household. Energetic dogs like me need a family that can provide adequate mental stimulation and exercise, such as walking, hiking, kongs, learning tricks or playing fetch. Otherwise I may find inappropriate ways to expel my energy. I’d be a great addition to a home with adopters that will not rough house with me as this can make me anxious and worried at times. I LOVE playing with other dogs and going to a home with other pups sounds like so much fun! I am looking for a home with kids that are at least 12 years old. However, due to my size and unruly behaviors, an ADULT only home would be best! Because I am so large and fall under the Breed Specific Legislation here in Omaha, I would not be a good fit for an apartment. Ash will be shown by appointment only.
